FAQs for Riders of the Storm Equestrian Academy

  1. Do I need prior experience to join the equestrian programs? No prior experience is necessary to join our equestrian programs. Riders of all levels, from complete beginners to advanced, are welcome. We tailor our lessons to meet the needs and skill levels of each participant, ensuring everyone can learn and progress at their own pace.

  2. What is the weight limit for riders? For the safety and well-being of our horses, we have a weight limit in place. The maximum weight for riders is typically around 14 stone for vaulting and 16 stone for riding. Please contact us directly for more specific information and to discuss any concerns.

  3. What should I wear for my lessons? Riders should wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing that allows for free movement. Long trousers and a close-fitting top are recommended. Proper riding boots or sturdy shoes with a small heel are essential for safety for riding and trainers for Vaulting. We also require that all riders wear a helmet with riding, which can be provided by the academy if you do not have your own.
